Kissed by Trash 2: The Glitch Mob’s 'See Without Eyes'

Every Friday, we share a newly released song or album from one of our favorite artists and talk with them about how they used an iZotope product on it.

This week, we spoke to edIT from The Glitch Mob, specifically about how Trash 2 was used on their new record, See Without Eyes (released 5/4 on Glass Air Records). In addition to his role in The Glitch Mob, edIT is an accomplished producer and DJ, with a history of innovation and progressive thinking across music, art, and tech.

“Trash 2 continues to be an integral part of the sound on See Without Eyes. There’s probably not a single distorted bass patch or chord patch that hasn’t been kissed by Trash 2. We love the fact that the distortion circuit is separate from the convolution amp circuit, and that order of everything can be custom configured. One trick we frequently use is to filter the incoming signal (in Trash 2) then route it to the convolution amp modeler then filter again and finally distort.”
